So HOLY COW it’s been a long time since I’ve written.  I don’t really have an excuse except that I got busy over the summer and got out of the habit of writing. Sorry about that.  Anyways, my family has three cats living with us at the moment.  Two are my older sister’s and we’re caring for them until she can find an apartment where they allow cats.  My little sister’s cat, Stria (meaning stripes in Italian), is just a goofy, playful kitten.  She’s probably the cutest cat I’ve seen in a long time.  Her full name is Strias D’Argenta, meaning Stripes of Silver, and she has the prettiest green eyes.  The other two cats, Trudy and Stinky (because she sleeps in the litterbox), are older.  Trudy has short hair and has asymmetrical white marking on her face and underside.  Stinky has long fur and is completely black.  She’s also gained quite a bit of weight since coming here.  So the older cats aren’t as energetic, and when Stria tries to play with them, they hiss and run away, but they don’t ever hurt Stria.  I think this is going to teach Stria that it doesn’t matter when a cat hisses, they’re just being grumpy or something.  Trudy also hates being picked up, cuddling, and having her back stroked.  She’s quite the antisocial cat.  Stinky loves attention but doesn’t like being held.  She’ll push away from you with her front paws…not struggling, just keeping distance between you.  Stria, on the other hand, loves attention of any kind.  She likes to ride around draped over your shoulder so she can hit you in the face with her tail.  She’s also very boisterous.  She’ll take off running around the house for no reason, chasing pieces of paper, or wads of Stinky’s hair.  Stinky never does anything like that, and the only time I’ve seen Trudy get excited was when I pointed my flashlight at the floor.  She goes crazy over light.  She was chasing it up the wall and under the couch.  My sister said that at her old place, she had these sun-catchers in the kitchen, and every morning she’d wake up to Trudy sprinting around the kitchen trying to catch the little rainbows.  Well, those are the cats.  I’ll probably update with cute antics and whatnot, and maybe if you’re lucky, pics!
